The organisers of the conference “Technology, Innovation and Growth (TIG 2024)”, to be held in Gdansk, Poland, on 23-24 May 2024, are seeking contributions.

Research papers on the economic role of innovation and technological progress (with a special focus on automation, digitalisation and AI), both theoretical and empirical, are welcome. The main topics to be discussed during the conference include (but are not limited to): recent trends in the development of technological knowledge; the impact of digital technologies on productivity, economic growth, inequalities and labour markets; methodological advances in quantifying digital progress; technology/innovation in economic growth models.

The conference will also summarise the outcomes of the project “Technological specialisation and productivity divergence in the age of digitalisation, automation and AI”, financed by the National Science Centre, Poland.
